I played this Sunburst/Rosewood/White PG SR4 at the local GC last night and I have to say it had to be about the sweetest playing ray i've ever come across.Even though the action was way to high it still played great, almost effortless.Sounded very good unplugged as well(I rarely plug in at GC). Nice gloss finish and birdsye on the neck, metal battery compartment cover and all the string mutes intact.I can't remember the neck attachment but I wanna say it was a 3 bolt or mabye it was 4? A bit overpriced at $1199 but a sweet bass in very good condition. Can you help me out on dating this one Gav?

It's not a 3 bolt. Either a 4 or 6.

My toss is June 1991.

I'd luv to have access to the EB data base but I have a feeling that's not going to happen :)

Jon may be here soon and can accurately pin the DOB.

Now that I think about(and looked at your site)It must have been a 6 with the old style MM logo like this-
The Serial number was located on the bridge. If GC was a little better on the prices of their used gear this bass might be attainable for me but I doubt they'll budge enough to make it reasonable:( For that price i'll take a brand new one:D

Jeez, I guess.

Wave 800 at them and if no one jumps at it, walk the hell away.

1200 dollars? For a used bass in Guitar Center? That must be some really killer crack they be smokin'.

Definitely. If you've got the cash, walk in with 8 c notes. Show them and say, it's all I got, take it or leave it.
