Question Serial Number DOB and some details needed...

Hi,

I would like to get the DOB and details of the following AXIS serials (which i intend to buy):
G 51000
G 61743

Also, i see that there are some AXIS who have a two holes on the top back of the neck ( holding the string lock ?) and some dont, can you explain why and what is the difference ?

You need to post this in the sticky thread with serial numbers.

About the two holes on the back, you might have seen an Axis Super Sport, which does not have a locking nut, and thus no need for the two screws to hold one.

Definitely an AXIS.
Also my EBMM EVH does not have those bolts.
So why there are two types ?

Newer axis's dont have the bolt holes because ebmm designed a new nut that does not require having the holes, and the older ones, pre 2011 will have the holes. And all EVH's exept hardtail versions will have the two holes.

Still my 1991 EVH ( not AXIS - bought new back then and verified) with the Floyd does not
have the bolts. That's why it was strange.

Can you post a picture of the whole guitar and some closeups of the headstock and back of the headstock? Thats real strange a floyd EVH with no nut bolt holes? Maybe a neck switch happened? Does your evh have a locking nut? If so it should have the holes, please post pics so we can clarify, thanks, all of us here would like to know. What color? Actually just post the pics, that will be better, thanks in advance!

My mistake. The EVH has the neck lock bolts.
