The Silhouettes have always had modular pickguard assemblies. Back then you could still order the Silhouettes in HSH, HH, HSS, and SSS configutions from the factory, plus you could order extra pickguard assemblies. They were (and still are) easily interchangeable, and it would not have been uncommon to change out the pickguard assembly to make a sale. Nothing wrong with that, as that was the purpose of the interchangeable pickguard assemblies.

Hi Dan,

Could you give me some info on my guitar?
It's a JP6 with s/n G16584. I don't know the name of the paint job. Also, I'd like to know the DOB. Finally, it has the old bridge pickup, what was it?

Thanks a lot!

Your John Petrucci has an original Blue Dawn finish and was completed on August 30 2001. Originally shipped to France. The original pickups were DiMarzio custom-wounds, and were sort of a combination of a Steve's Special and a D-Sonic.

Serial # of my EBMM Axis SuperSport is G13347
