Nortalib, a warm welcome to the Forum. Your HSS Silhouette was was built on April 28 1993. All it shows us is that it has a maple board and was shipped to a store called the Music Box in Hamden, Connecticut, long out of business. Looks like a special run of some sort, possibly the Lake Placid Blue we did around that time. Is that correct?

Right on Dan, thanks bro! It was built 2 days before my birthday, if it had been May 10th it would have been absolutely perfect, but I'll settle for close! :D

Hi Dan, thank you very much for the information. Looks like the guitar has been to a lot places and countries. I got it from a guy in Singapore (I am in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) who got it from his uncle who was studying in US. The color of the guitar is sort of transparent white. I am not too sure though as the color has run a bit. The person I got it from did not really take good care of the guitar. I love the guitar though, first ebmm i ever had. I have 5 other guitars all Fenders (Strats/Teles and even Jazz Bass).

Actually it is not HSS, but HSH.

Thanks again Dan.

Welcome to the Forum! Here is the info on your collection -

Translucent Black no. 82283 - 8/14/92
Amber no. 81788 - 7/03/92
Purple (now faded to Natural) 80105 - not coming up in the system! Are you certain of the serial number? Perhaps a 6 on the end?

Howdy, curious about my JP6

Would like to know what you can tell me about G39822. It's a BFR in transblack and wow what a guitar. This is like owning a Bentley after you've gotten used to Chevys. Thanks.....

Thanks Dan for your help.
Serial number 80105 is correct no 6 on the end.

It is most likely an entry error on our end from way back and we entered a 6 instead of a 5 into the computer. (the older serial numbers were in a different program, and had to all be re-entered by hand into the new system, so the potential for error was greater on those) Since there is no other Trans Purple guitar even comes close in the serial number database, I believe that is the case. All the other specs match up - Trans Purple, built 7/22/91 and shipped originally to Germany - I am 99.9% sure that is the information on your guitar.

hey, welcome to the Forum. Here's what we know: This John Petrucci BFR 6 was completed on 10/09/08 and was shipped to a band called Another Black Day in Florida.

Cheers,

Dan
