I couldn't resist and bought a Luke LE '05 Buttercream from PM Blues. Serial #G27692

Excellent guitar. Did get a scratch (back upper horn) during shipment due to rough handling. The case pocket is broken, but the guitar is fine. PM Blues is helping me figure out my options about getting the scratch repaired and a new case. Quite a bummer for such an excellent instrument.

Q: I like the standard MM black case much better for transport. The vintage looks cool, but not as practical to me. I noticed that Musician's Friend sells the MM black molded case. Are all the MM black cases the same for the six string guitars? Or, is there specific inner molds for the various models. When I set the Luke inside my SM-Y2D case, there is a little more movement for the guitar. Is this normal? If so, I may order one for my Luke. Thanks in advance!

JP, Philip is correct, there is but one black molded case that fits all six-string Music Man guitars (Part # 5983), however that was not the case (so to speak) for the Limited Editions. Regarding the problem with the shipping, it would be good to have PM Blues file a claim on your behalf with the carrier.

BTW, the completion date of your Buttercream Luke is 3/7/05.

EBMM EVH, Trans pink....81121

thanks

brentrocks, this pink one was among the first 50 of the pinks that were produced (there were less than 300 over the 5-year period that the EVHs were in production). It was shipped to King James Music (now just Kings Music) in Brooklyn, NY. Its birthday is 12/24/91. Ssshhhhmokin'.....

Mike, this JP7 was completed on 1/26/06 and sent to the Long & McQuade fellows in Canada, which is probably where you bought it, no?
