The package was offered for 2006 on all models. They did this for a few years. Black and Gold was limited because it was only offered for a period of time, if memory servers me right.

This Axis was completed on July 16th, 2009. The color is Trans Blue with the Maple neck & matching headstock.

This Luke 3 HH was completed on May 12th, 2014. The color is Bodhi Blue with the Rosewood fretboard.

It was just the combination of the black finish with the gold hardware being offered for the limited ordering window. These shipped in a G&G case with black tolex and the gold liner.

This Cutlass RS HSS was completed on February 25th, 2019. The color is Vintage Sunburst with the roasted Maple neck.

Thanks for sending the photos through. This is strange it's not in the database. It's definitely authentic based on these photos. It may have been a mistake on our end entering it into the database. There are 2 of these that were built in July of 2016 that were shipped to GC and had serials G78147 and G78142. It's possible it is one of those and the last digit may have been entered incorrectly into the database when they were closing it out.

Hi Joel,

Thank you for the clarification! Sounds like it maybe one of those guitars. GC said they only had two new JP16's in the system when I purchased it. I just wanted to confirm that the guitar is authentic. All of the paperwork and unopened case candy was in the case. The guitar had old .009s on it, but otherwise mint. I treated the fretboard with Wonder Wipes and set it back up with .010s (my preference). My MusicMan Warranty Registration was accepted online. So, all is good! This guitar is fantastic! My favorite pickups of JP's so far, but I haven't tried the new 2019 pickups yet.
