Serial Numbers : What is the production date of my guitar?

Looking to buy a JP6 and was wondering the year and which bridge PUP it has, serial number is G19640. Thanks

This isn't really the place to inquire about possible purchases, it is really to find DOBs for instruments we own and love .. but since you are here, this guitar would have the original JP bridge pickup as it was completed on 4/30/02.

I believe it left the factory on 3/19/03. Does that sound right? Do you have any other info on it? (I bought it used.)

Rokstar, nice going on your new Axis! Here's some info: It was completed on 3/20/07 and was shipped to a Long & McQuade store. The finish is Trans Gold and it has a matching headstock.

Steve, you are correct, 03/19/03 is the day it flew out of here. It was originally shipped to the Guitar Center central warehouse. The rest you know.

what !!! the guy who sale me this Luke says : "I buy this Luke at the beginning of this year in America !!!"
grrrr !! It's a beautifull guitar but i don't like lies !!!!! Please have you got other informations about this guitar ! At the beginning, it was deliver in America or not ? or it's a another lie !!

It's unfortunate if you were decieved, but maybe yo weren't! All we really know here is when instruments were made, not sold - if you comb through some of these threads you will see other cases where instruments sat in stores 7-10 years before being first sold new!

In your case, all I know for sure for right now is that originally this was sold to an individual person or party, not a store where it was later resold. It was sold under an account we use for miscellaneous artists; no real records are kept as to who it actually went to. It could have been sold to someone in America - that seems very likely but don't know for sure. Hope that helps -

Hey, Wiz, glad your JP is doing well and hope you are too. Confession time: The dog I had as my avatar before wasn't my dog, I found the pic on the Internet somewhere and loved it so I used it. About 6 months ago I got my Beagle Bailey, and he for me is the dog I have always wanted. I have always loved beagles and this guys got a real chilled personality. So now he's my avatar. My wife says we look a lot alike, so now you have an idea of what I look like ....
