Hello everyone. This is my first post here. I've just bought EBMM JP7 Pearl Redburst, s/n: F05590. I should get it on Wenesday.

jaad, welcome!

The John Petrucci 7 that you are about to recieve has a Pearl Redburst finish. It was completed on 2/20/02 and originally shipped to Drum City Guitarland in Colorado.

sweet!

Groover, your SUB-1 guitar, finished in textured white, was completed on 8/5/05 and shipped to the Long & McQuade boys in Stratford, Ontario.

Hey all, also my first post here, Great to finally be a proud owner of an EBMM JP 6, matching head stock, Piezo, dot inlay, Graphite Pearl!
I was wondering when she was born - Serial # G30960
Thanks a bunch

Mystic,

Congrads and a warm welcome here to the Forums! Your John Petrucci guitar was completed on 2/21/05, although our records show your guitar's finish to be Sapphire Black, not Graphite Pearl. Saph Black is darker with a hint of blue in the finish.

Well that explains why it looks different than any other finish of graphite pearl I have seen, very good to know, thanks so much!!!

Flex,

The date in the neck signifies the date the neck was finished. It may or may not have someone's initials on there too. GOLD stamped on the body just means that it was supposed to be painted gold, which seemingly it was. The date your guitar was made into a finished instrument was 10/11/96, which is the first year we made Axis guitars.

Yes, all Axis guitars use essentially the same switch fomerly used on the EVH, although we moved it from its previous location. The Axis SuperSports, introduced in 1999, use a 5-position or 3-position blade-style switch for coil-tapping possibilites (on the 5-position only).

Welcome back to the wonderful wacky world of guitars and a definite welcome to the EBMM Forums!

Dan

:)

Thanks Dan, great service.

Zaarin, I'll answer your inquiry anyway ... Serial # G24844 is for a fully-loaded John Petrucci 6 completed on 7/7/04 and was sent to Flores Music in Peoria, IL.

Welcome!

DOB please for my Luke - G30192.

Bought it while working in the USA earlier this year and I'm thoroughly enjoying playing this wonderful guitar :D

If I may ask, how long did it take?
I received my guitar July 7th 2005. I guess it went like this: Ernie Ball shipped it to Musik Meyer GmbH (the German EBMM distributor), they sent it to Musikhaus Thomann and after Thomann checked everything was okay the guitar finally arrived at my house. I remember that day vividly, taking pictures before even touching it, haha. :D

KungFu,

Your guitars' production dates and information:

Albert Lee - Pearl Red, completed 9/20/96 and sent to Guitar Emporium in Louisville, KY.

Steve Morse - Blueburst of course, completed 3/3/93 and sent to Russo's Music in Omaha, NE.

(You may want to edit your signature)

A couple of sweet pieces, I would say! ;)
