Yeah Brent, I wouldn't touch that one at all either.
Not wit' a 10' pool cue!

Hi Dan,
What's this one shake out to be? This should raise some eyebrows if what I've been told is true...
85171
Thanks.
Brett
is this one you are buying? or have already bought?
Hello guys, first message here
I have an old LUKE I Pearl red with the following serial number:
95343
Bought this guitar 15 years ago in Tokyo where I live.
Could you tell me when it was producted?
Interesting stuff, it doesn't have any hole for the battery.
Thank you very much.
No comment and no comment. Let's wait to see what Dan says it is...
That was #85171 please.
Brett, are you certain of the serial number? That one does not come up on our database.

Another, saw your post , I wasn't intentionally ignoring you. There was something I was trying to remember about the first Lukes that went out regarding the battery. I can tell you that your guitar was completed on 5/18/94 and it was shipped to Japan. The battery on the earliest Lukes was stowed somewhere else, but I can't remember where. I will get back to you on that part ...
Nice guitar though -
Dan
