Phil, the top on this one is not an upgrade top, but a lot of the tops on those rivalled the upgrade tops.

It's colder here but nothing like snow - we have to drive to the mountains (2-3 hours away) for that! Build a snowman for me, willya? :D:D

BTW your new guitar was complete on 11/16/06 and was originally shipped the Perfect Guitar.

Dan

Thanks Dan, the top on this thing is pretty crazy, probably crazier than a premium top, it looks gorgeous. I think it most definitely rivals a premium top. Haha. I'll definitely build you a snowman. Wish all the folks in CS a merry christmas for me!

Budalesh, info above - I should also mention that it was originally sent to our Dutch / Belgian distributor - not sure which country it went to originally out of the two!

Dan
Dan, thank you very much.

I have just contacted your Dutch distributor asking him if I could order new Floyd Rose studs as the guitar doesn't stay in tune even after a professional setup by a local luthier. It appears that the floating bridge does not return to its normal position after use...Is it possible to order spare parts through the local distributor?

And again, thanks for the DOB, I don't know where my guitar has been all these years, but it certainly looks like it has never been played :)

Parts can be ordered through Voerman Amersfoort :: Voerman Amersfoort - - Import- en Groothandel Muziekinstrumenten (Levering via de detail vakhandel) :: - Contact

From what you described, it really sounds like the tremolo is sticking somewhere. I would recheck with regard to the tension of the springs. If they are too tight to let the bridge go back to its natural state, I would consider loosing or bending the tremolo claws to relieve some of the spring tension of the tremolo. or possibly removing one of the springs if there are more than two on there now.

Your Trans Teal/Rosewood Silhouette with an Ash body and tremolo was completed on 5/15/92 and was shipped to Norway via our distributor there, Englund Musik. Nice! It was shipped with an HSS pickguard configuration.

Nice! ;)

Absolutely, this Pearl Green Silhouette Special was among the first few dozen shipped. It was completed on 6/16/95 and was shipped to Orient, Illinois, a long-defunct store called Ligon Guitars.

Wow! Thanks Dan!

When I bought it a previous owner had taken of the locking nut. So I had the Floyd Rose system repaired and got a new locking nut! ^^
