Serial Numbers : What is the production date of my guitar?

Hello, Dan-

What a service you are providing!

As much as I regret it, I have to sell my EVH (probably on ebay) and would like some information.


Serial number is 81923.




Any specs you can provide would be much appreciated. A ballpark figure of its value would be nice, as well.

Back in the mid-nineties, someone drove up to the music store I was teaching at, walked in with this guitar and asked if anyone wanted to buy it. I did, and have been very pleased. You can feel the sustain and warmth resonating through the guitar, even when unplugged. You did well on this guitar. It will be missed.

P.S. The guitar came without a case, and has been kept in a gigi bag since. Are comparable cases available for this (sorry if I am getting off topic)?

Bummer about you selling your EVH - I am sure this isn't a good thing, sorry you are having a rough time.

Your guitar was completed on 7/09/92 and was originally shipped to Rockley Music in the Denver, CO area. As far as value, we really can't get into specifics here on the Forum, (you are welcome to email me at [email protected]) and to be honest we are not experts in values of used instruments, we just sorta keep making new ones - You might be better off consulting vintage guitar dealers or eBay. Our current guitar cases will fit the EVH. Part number is P05983 and can be ordered from any Music Man dealer.

Sounds like a sweet guitar that I'm sure will make someone very happy!

Roburdo-Double check that serial number for me if you could. G39708 brings up a BFR JP6 in trans ruby completed on 11/19/07.

JimmyB-Yours was completed on 10/16/97 as suspected.

Ripper-It's legit and was completed on 01/15/02.

joeferriz-Yours was completed on 05/15/00.

12_String-That Silo Special (you are correct with the color) was completed on 2/22/02.
