Blue Luke : G07373
Purple Luke: G13388
JP7 LE 2007: F11095

And btw. any chance about DOB of those? (Store told me back in '99 that my blue Luke was the first to come to germany of the Luke II's) Thanks! :)

Your Luke in Luke Blue was built on Aug 19 1999 so it's not too likely it was the first in Germany - since the first of the new Lukes were shipped to Germany in February 1998.

Your Pearl Purple Luke was built on Dec 8 2000 and was originally shipped to a Guitar Center in California.

Your LE 2007 JP 7 in Blue Dawn was completed on Aug 29/07 and was shipped to Drum City GuitarLand near Denver, Colorado.

nice collection -

5Stringer Dan, hello!
From Russia with love!) I bought myself a vintage Music Man Sabre II 6string guitar. It's made in the USA but came probably from Japan from some vintage guitars collector. Its S/N (actually what is written on it) is "PAT NO 4002994 4046050 4031799".
Have you any idea? I'm not sure about when and where (custom shop or whatever) it was made and stuff. If you were so kind to make it clear for me I would be eternally greateful. Thank you.

Rastich, unfortunately, no serial number records exist for the Sabre and StingRay guitars. The records we know of show that the Sabre guitars, both I and II, were introduced in 1978 and most of them were shipped in 1979-80. However, unlike the basses, the guitars were not very brisk sellers - and the last known production on Sabres was in 1982 (the StingRay guitars ceased production in 1979). By that time, apparently things were unraveling for the old Music Man company. Ernie Ball, Inc. purchased the stuggling company in 1984, but we never made the old guitars - our first model was the Silhouette, which as we know, is a stellar guitar still in production today. ;)
