Hey Dan, I just need DOB on these two:

L02144
L04013

Finbeagles, Kissmyaxe, and myself were wondering if possible if you could tell us how many left handed, Orange Firemist Rosewoods, were made?

Thanks.

PC, here you go:

L02144 - built on 6/23/09 to GC in Boston
L04013 - 5/13/09 to DuBaldo Music Center

I am guessing you just mean John Petrucci lefty Orange Firemists made? Looks like you have 1 of only 2.. ;)

G'day Dan.

Have a possible wierd one for you:

93408.

The seller is saying it's a stock standard Silo only a few years old.
It's a 24 fret maple neck, but has H-S-S pickups and a string tree?
Has a few of the boys down-under scratching our head.
Any information would be really appreciated.

Thanks mate.

Good Dr .. the Silhouette in question is more than a few years old - it was built on 11/06/92. In those days, before the Special was introduced, you could order the Silhouette in a variety of configurations - HH, HSH, HSS and SSS and the pickguard assemblies were interchangeable (still are). So all looks right from this perspective. ;) Is the finish color black?

Thanks very much for getting the DOB on my Axe.

I have one more question, Is it possible to find out how many similar guitars where made? The guy I bought mine from said it was a fairly rare (or at least not produced anymore) color.

Can I find out how many Axis Super Sport TransBlue Quilt with Rosewood Fretboard and Matching Headstock were made?

My Serial # is G14585

Thanks.

Custom, it wasn't made in 1990 as the EVH guitar wasn't introduced until 1991. Yours was completed on 10/01/91 Very cool guitar btw, thanks for sharing!

I always thought it was a 1991 but then read somewhere that they started in January of 1990. Wish I could remember the link. If I find it I will post it.

Thanks for the dating though...!

We introduced the EVH guitar at the NAMM winter show 1991 and the first ones shipped around May of that year.
