Your Axis was done on 3/5/98. The battery is used to power the Silent Circuit™, which will allow single-coil pickups to be heard without the 60 cycle hum.

the Serial is 91216
the whammy bar is missing. there is any replacement whammy that will fit to this bridge?
I'd be happy to receive any kind of information on this guitar.

What finish is it? Is it the trans-black like on the current JPBFR's?

Hi - Your JP BFR was done on 6/6/07. It is the same Trans Black as the current models and it should have the D-Sonic pickup in the bridge and a custom DiMarzio in the neck.
