Alright guys, so after I broke a string and put the incorrect string gauge on, I finally restrung my JP12 with 10's and am trying to fix it.
I got the bridge leveled out and it is now parallel to the body for the most part. I went to go for a truss rod adjustment because my lower frets were buzzing a bit on the low strings while the action on the higher frets was way too high.
I'm trying to get the action as evenly as possible around the whole guitar but it almost seems like the strings are rising up as they get closer to the bridge which is slightly annoying. Do I need to adjust the two springs on the back of the bridge or is there something else I have to do to adjust string height?
Here's what I know:
Adjusting the spring plate: Levels the bridge
Adjusting the truss rod: Straightens/Bows the curve of the neck, depending on what is needed.
Adjusting the string screws: Adjusts intonation.
Now as far as adjusting the spring plate and the truss rod go, I know those basically work together in getting an awesome playing guitar, but I can't figure out why the strings seem like they are like super low and buzzy on frets 1-6, but after that they start getting super high and annoying to play on.
Anyone have any experience in fine tuning this puppy?
