Settled on the Eden

Well fellas, I settled on getting an Eden 210XST cabinet this week. So far it's done great.I will most likely be adding another 210XST just because of a new act I'm with whose guitarist likes to play his 212 Mesa combo wide open.... anywho, the XST series is much more accurate than the XLTs and alot less blurry. Seemingly a good match with the Avalon / Crown / Bongo so far, except for the fact that the Bongo's output is so hot it slams the U5 pretty hard.
Anyone else using the XSTs???

This might me a little OT -

But I've also noticed that the Bongo gives hell to every pre-amp I've ran it through...

I'm not sure if that's good or bad....

My Bongo 5 is EASILY the hottest bass I've ever encountered. To accomodate my clumsy slap style I have lowered both pickups considerably and they are still hotter than any other bass I've played.

Eden 212X?T

in my humble ignorance (my Eden catalogue is outdated) I'm curious about why another 210 and not a 212 ... since you've already got the 210 sound covered, would it not help thicken your sound and park that 212 Mesa combo a little further back once and for all ?

I dig 10's , the 210XST is a deeper cabinet anyway than the Eden 212 or single 15. Plus I've heard of some guys say how when you do use different sized drivers without the proper time-delay stuff like a major PA has, you can get some minor phase cancellation issues... not totally sure about that, but I dig 10's so that's why another 210XST if I need to.
