Hey gang, I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a BFR luke. I have played many lukes thru the years, also owned one (unfortunately had to sell it). This is by far the best playing of the bunch, neck feels thicker than a standard luke neck. But here is my setup question, the high e frets out (dies out, no sound very quickly after the 15th fret and the b string after the 17th fret. Does this guitar just simply need a neck adjustment/saddle adjustment or should I stay away and find another? Thanks for your input.

If it's fretting out on the high frets you probably need to raise the saddles. As for whether the neck is healthy, it's impossible to know from that description- you'd need an experienced eye to have a go at it. I wouldn't necessarily be worried.

Is it new or used? If it's new ... ask the store to set it up properly so you can really evaluate it. If it's used, well you'll probably have to give it a good set up. (That's not uncommon.)

It is new (GC). I will ask them to take a look and see if they can set it up. Thanks.
