That's been my experience, most noticeable when doing slap/pop the attack is tighter and more snap.

I totalling agree. That is the reason why I returned the classic I bought with the standard neck. I love the lacquered necks.

I agree, I have a bass in what you could call Salmon Pink, and I don't worry either.
Now, pink paisly....well

I resemble that remark.

I keep revisiting this thread, and I'm liking it more and more. A great color combo. Congratulations!

This makes me want to return my Ivory White Classic... which stores carry these?

... that one is the GC exclusive color, Ivory White

The quote directly above is from Aziah, Ernie Ball Customer Service.

Since Ivory White is a Guitar Center exclusive color, you might want to hold onto that one.

Played it at rehersal last night....this StingRay kills! Crisp and deep shimmering lows, and the notes just react on that neck. Bravo EBMM for knocking one far out of the ballpark. :D

Thanks for the reply. I went to GC to try the new Stingray Classics a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't planning to get one, but the Ivory White they had sounded SO good, and played SO well with the thin frets and the 7.5 radius, that I ended up taking it home. :D

I like it even more than my 30th Anniversary. The only thing I don't like about it is the white pickup cover... I might change that; white on white on white is a little bit too much for me. But to be honest, I like Shell Pink and Seafoam Green more than Ivory White. I just love pastel colours, and I've always wanted a pink bass

It's not my intention to hijack the thread, but here's a pic of my babies:
EDIT: this picture does no justice to the birdseye maple neck.

No prob Permafunk. You know you can easily buy a black pickup cover from EBMM, easy to swap. You can even throw on a tort pickguard on that.

Hehe, yeah.I usually like to keep my basses stock, but I might get a black pickup cover.
Thanks for posting the pictures by the way. I can't stop looking at it now... probably the best looking Stingray I've ever seen. Congratulations! :)
