The seller has modified the auction to remove the offending remarks and bring it into line with the corrections of Bassmonkeee's email.

I feel the power of the forum at work or maybe its BP's Dargie Delight forum trance effecting me! :D :D

I am still giving him the forum curse....loose bowels and erectile disfuntion are the easiest parts of the curse.

And, he still deserves the forum curse.

His response, in total:

"LOL!"

It made me angry when I saw the auction, too.

But, in fairness, he could simply be going on what a dealer told him when he bought the bass, not that that makes it any less crappy.

I've sent the seller a comment with corrections to the inaccuracies. Let's see how he responds.

This is what I sent:

"Hi, there. You've got some pretty gross inaccuracies in your auction. The color is called Envy Green, not Sherwood Green. And, while it is a limited edition from 2004, it has absolutely NOTHING to with the death of Ernie Ball, tribute or otherwise. To tie this bass to his passing is both tacky and disrespectful. I can assure you that the Ernie Ball forum (ie large collection of potential buyers) have seen the text in your ad, and are none too pleased (ie the most likely buyers have no intention of buying it). Please post the correction to your ad, if for no other reason than to respect the memory of the man who did so much for musicians everywhere."

you are indeed a star and a gentleman sir.:)
