...so that the string heights more closely match the fretboard radius, and I was able to tweak my action so it's lower and cleaner than the quite low, quite buzz-free action I enjoyed before... I was using a fine ruler to measure exact string heights at the twelfth fret, and I realized that the inner strings were a lot closer to the top of the fret than the 'E' strings, so I broke out my old Floyd maintenance kit and used some of the steel Floyd shims I had to slightly raise the saddles. I used one shim each on the A and B strings, and two shims on the D and G strings, and then I was able to lower the trem posts a touch, improving the action on my E, A, B and high E strings while removing the tiny buzz I was getting from the G string... I have to admit that I was a little surprised that the stock arc of the trem saddles doesn't match the fretboard radius, but the shims work fine, and I'm very happy with the results!

ALthough I agree the radius should match on the bridge and the fret board, in my experience, lower action isn;t always a better thing. I struggle bending strings and not catching the adjacent spring when it's too low. BUt I'm glad you're happy.
