Ive never had any issues before my EBMM guitar purchase but for some reason UPS has damaged my Jpxi's neck twice now and the case was damaged as well the first time around. I received the guitar back yesterday with a new neck and case. I opened up the case and the nails holding the compartment have backed out on both sides and poked holes in the leather but the good news is the guitar was flawless. I just find it hard to believe that they have damaged this thing so many times especially since it has a fragile sticker on the outside:confused: I'm so glad the guitar came back ok this time and thankful for EBMM's amazing customer service.

Fragile stickers mean nothing to anyone in that industry. Believe me, I used package instruments for shipping and Ive seen UPS "in action".

He's right, I drive tractor trailers locally for a MAJOR ltl company and stickers mean jack ****. Thats why when I buy/ship guitars I only do overnight/2 day and use fedex. The less time a package is in the "system" the less chance of poor handling. I also only ship/buy at the beginning of the week so the package doesn't sit some where over the weekend. Ive never had a guitar damaged this way.
*re-worded out of respect for other carriers* I prefer fedex over ups

I'm not saying UPS sucks (they even came to my work place to see that I was packaging instruments correctly) and I don't think they are any worse than anybody else, because there is always somebody out there with a horror story no matter who you look at, but where shipping is concerned, the risk increases as the price decreases. UPS - OK. USPS - not so much.

Pour les Frenchies out there, there was a good reason why the company I worked for shipped guitars by UPS and not Chronopost (who also handled anything that arrived in France sent by USPS from the US).
