I'm just wondering about the durability of the ebmm hard cases as far as using them to ship guitars. I ask because I have a long trip on the greyhound and I think I'll have to stow my sub1 in the cargo hold under the bus. Also if you guys have any suggestions as to what precautions to take to insure my baby gets a safe ride.

thanks.

I've shipped and received several EBMM guitars in their plastic cases and never had a problem. I think just putting it under the bus shouldn't be a worry. It's a very good case

^ Plus 1 on the moulded cases. The LE cases may seem a bit fragile internally otherwise..

If you think about, UPS and FedEx carry them for days when delivering sometimes. I had a friend who worked for both and he told me that the packages go through alot of abuse in the shipping process. The EBMM cases are solid. No worries.

Ship like what the dealers are doing - ship the hardcase in a cardboard! Provides the "extra skin" necessary to protect the case from getting scratches/abrasion from any knocks/bangs!;)

Definitely ship in a box! I've shipped in a box big enough to insert the guitar diagonally and filled the rest of the box with peanuts, shredded paper, and bubble wrap. It arrived in Canada in tune and ready to rock!
