What accessories are an absolute must for guitar maintenance? I have a microfiber cloth with big bends scratch remover for cleaning but that's about it. I'm in need of some fretboard conditioner. Specifically for my JPX which has an ebony fretboard. Anything else you guys reccomend I get for my balls? Everything and anything you think would be beneficial is welcome. If possible give specific brand names. Thank you guys! :)

I love Big Bend's Nut Sauce. Lubrication for the nut, the saddles, the trem posts.. everything that moves really. Keeps my guitar happy... especially my JPX :D

Planet waves string winder. 3 in 1 tool. String trimmer, winder and if you have an acoustic guitar, a bridge pin puller.

What I have:

Ernie Ball power string winder
Cheapo manual string winder with stretcher
wire cutters
Setup tools: feeler gauge, capo, metal ruler with 1/64" graduations, hex key for saddles, random one for neck wheel
tuner (for intonation)
small screwdriver for intonation
wonder wipes for neck
pencil to clean and lube nut
instrument polish (I got some when buying a used guitar in the case....it is way easier than car polish and works great) use Ernie Ball
20 pound sledge hammer
Ice pick

that's the list. You could skip the last 2 items....they have more to do with amusement than the guitar.....

If you want to level and crown the frets, I could go into those tools as well. I've started doing a bunch of that kind of work on my own guitars after building a small guitar workshop in the basement.

Texas Finally!
Well Devin, you need to have several items, start with my fanboy stuff, lots of EB strings, wonder wipes instument polish and fretboard conditioner.

Next get a set of groovetech cruz tools, everything you need for routine maintenance. Then a couple of good tuners and a can of electronic compressed air. And finally polish clothes.

Still took a while but I think I found it. Is this it?
Fret Doctor

That's the stuff. But from what I understand it is the same stuff as his "bore oil" which he sells for about $5.

Your challenge should you accept it is to mail Dr Henderson at [email protected] and ask him if the bore oil is the same lol

it sounds like amazing stuff, with nothing harmful in it?

Edit

This stuff looks interesting too!!

don't forget birchwood casey gunstock oil and wax for your Y2D neck, and some ultra fine grit sandpaper.
