Short scale Stingray bass boost vs volume boost

I remember when the short scale launched the push/pull pot was being called a bass boost. This year the terminology changed to volume boost. Has the circuit been modified or is this just a change in name? Thanks! Got a maple neck version arriving wed

Ah on the PDF the pot is described as “volume and tone bass boost” so I guess it does it all

Could be if you turn it it will adjust the volume and if you pull it it will give you a bass boost
