i obviously will give the standard pickups a good chance but i wanna use this guitar in teramaze so i gotta shred it up a little but i might do a video with standard pickups then emgs i love the feel of these guitars that the main reason!

didnt you say you had another shred vid you were going to post a while back?? and wheres a vid with the BFR? :D

Hello

I have some musicman guitars in my arsenal (luke, petrucci, axis......, bfr)and I can say that the silo 20th are the best........I have 1 hardtail and 1 with vibrato, and they always kill me.

For me, the silo 20th are the best musicman never done, if you can have one, buy it fast!!!!!!!!!you won't regret that:)

Is there place for a battery on the 20th? Also, you'd have to file the ears of the pickups down to the DiMarzio triangular shape. If you really HAVE to change out the pickups, I'd suggest try the passive options first. I think I already asked you this: Have you tried the D-Activator X pickups yet?

Not trying to sway you in anyway.....

A ring is always nice too though (along with a good wife). Definitely the most important purchase I ever made -- but no regrets at all.

I gigged my 20th hardtail at a Harley Davidson Biker Rally Bash last night. These guitars absolutely kill!!! Best tone ever hands down! YOU CANNOT GO WRONG with a 20th!

My 20th Silo has the PAF Pro in the neck and Evo 2 in the bridge. It absolutely shreds. I think that EMGs will not make this specific guitar come alive as it is meant to with good passive pickups. I liked the stock ones, but honestly I needed more crunch and shred. These pickups work very well for me and its still incredibly versatile. I find myself using the tone knob quite often actually do get a lot of different sounds.

id like to keep the silver covers Look on the 20th so if i can get some good hot passives maybe seymour duncans that come in those silver casing then id be happy

Try Bareknuckles... I'm sure you won't be disappointed... HOT stuff, plus that nickel cover... he's made an amazing set of 7 string pups for me...

Plus, Tim Mills, used to, or still does, play for Iced Earth... That should give you an indication of his definition of HOT...:p
