I have a chance to buy a 2X10 & 1X15 Bag End stack thats hardly used for $500.00. its close to my work and easy to pick up but I'm wondering if I should save the money and just stick with the Ampegs.

my stuff is brandnew and I have been complimented alot on how good my stuff sounds, I'm figuring the Bag End cabs are smaller and should be more easy to get around than the Ampegs though but will I get a better sound with the style of music I'm playing.

I'm playing original streetpunk type stuff using a pick most of the time if that matters but I have a pathfinder and the two different bass cabinbets set-up is great for the small space my truck has. IDK just curious what other people here would do.. thanks T

I'm an Ampeg man myself and also subscribe to the "If it ain't broke then don't fix it" mentality.

I don't have much (any) experience with the Bag End cabs but I do know that all of the guys up at Bass Northwest (Evan, Chad & Steve) use them as their personal cabs on gigs when they could use any cabs they want which speaks volumes to me about Bag End's so I suggest giving them a call for advice.

If your young and don't mind The weight, Ampeg Is Great, I Used Ampeg for years on the road although I never had to carry them either.

When I play Local I use a few different Cabs, I use 2 Single 15 Bag End with 400 Watt Neo speakers. Yeah and they Kick Butt,

Also on out door applications I use 2 SWR 6-10 Cabs, they also sound great.

I've owned a ton of Bag End cabs, they're top of the line for sure. Which models are you looking at? There's at least a few different 15s, and a couple 210s.

They all rock though...

its the Deep Red Series but I think I'll pass on them just cause of the "save some Money" issue.

if people really sprang outta the woodwork telling me to defenitely buy them I'd have to do it but from what I'm reading here its no big deal.

thats why I like this place, thanks... Tajue

I sold my Ampeg 6X10 in favor of "easier to lug" cabinets.......And regretted it ever since. I now use an Ampeg SVT410HLF & it sounds almost like the 6X10 & isn't that bad to lug.
