I was looking for a cheap but good guitar for my main instrument. I am on a very tight budget and by the reviews on music 123 it sounds like it is a good deal. I came here to ask about if it has any major problems, like always going out of tune or as I read before, the neck always bowing. I was also wondering if I had a gig and I brought it from really cold weather to pretty warm weather if the neck would need to be adjusted and how long it would stay there. Thanx in advance for your replies.

Being on a tight budget, the guitar itself would be good to have. It doesn't carry a high price tag. I have one, but I only take it with me out of town (because of my job, I travel). If it gets stolen or broke, I wouldn't care. I can vouch that it staying in tune is not one of it's best suits. I haven't adjusted the neck and I have traveled quite extensively this year up and down the east coast. Both hot and cold weather. It certainly doesn't have the tone of any of my EBMM's, but like I said, for practice for me on the road, it works for me. Stage guitar? I myself would not use it. But if that is all you got, run with it. One of EVH's first guitar was built from parts and he obviously had no problems. Hope this helps.:D

Not knowing how "tight" you're budget is, I'd have to say that the OLP is pretty decent for under $200. You obviously get what you pay for. One thing many people don't know from the ads, is that what appears to be a quilted maple top is really a photographic application. All ads never mention a maple top for this reason. It's also only liscensed by EBMM, not made by them, so I would assume quality control is marginal at best. I would tell you to check some reviews in Harmony Central, but there's only one posting that appears to have been posted by a crack addict, or someone severely mentally challenged. (I actually laughed!) Oh what the heck, check it out for yourself

I'm a newly converted EBMM fanatic, but I can say that I owned a Peavey Wolfgang EXP (Korean) and was pretty impressed with the quality for the $480 I paid for it. It still pales in comparison to the Axis I have, but for a travel axe, or throw around guitar at home it's a really good value! (Please don't hate me guys!)

Hope this helps, and good luck!

If your budget is that tight I'd highly recommend looking at used guitars. Any guitar worth owning is worth buying used assuming the previous owner didn't abuse it. Even if you end up with a used OLP it will be cheaper than buying retail.

good luck
