Which ones the AL? hahhaha...
The AL is a bit chunky... and a bit out of the traditional shape.... lol...

no no no - honestly the AL has not got a chunky neck - far from it.
- and I got small hands. The AL neck feels very similar to my EVH and would you say that was a chunky neck? :)

I don't know I've never played an Axis type guitar....:p

If you had a standard American Strat and not the EC model I'd say sell it. I own an EC with the mid boost and if it were me, I'd buy an AL and try and keep the EC too.
Even though I don't own an AL I'll wager that the two guitars will have different personalities and tonalities - which for me is a very good thing.

I played the EC last night and decided to keep it. I'll probably sell a Gibson to finance the AL!

I sold a strat to buy an Al and didn't look back for a moment.
I had the sss configuration, but would probably reccomend the mm 90's.
I have since bought a silo special sss -now I'm really happy.
This is the single coil tone machine!
