Sorry for my lack of posting. A member here gave me a hard time for "off topic" threads (though most of them were very popular and thought provoking) so I have been posting elsewhere.

Am I crazy for selling my Silo? I loved that guitar more than any other for about 6 months but I have started playing my JP's exclusively and I am buying another as soon as I find a retailer with the right color.

I am sure at some point I will want to play different styles of music again and the Silo is an awesome all around guitar.

Am I crazy?

Isn't it better to have and not need than to need and not have?

If you don't NEED to sell because of financial issues...and you define the Silo as an awesome all around guitar, it may be in your interest to keep it in your arsenal. Diversity is good and the Silo and the JP are two totally different animals...it's good to be able to have that choice by keeping the Silo.

I agree with Brasco... Don't sell it! A diverse collection of guitars is a good thing.

I concur with the other posts. If you don’t need to sell it then don’t. If you sell it, down the road you will regret it.

I horded instruments for years and have gotten over it. It just so happens I picked up a silo and am still loving it. Where did this guitar originate?
Forgive me, guitar is my second instument. I play Bass for money.

HenDog, will it be something you think you'll regret? I tend to look at it that way.

The others have a good point, if you don't need the $$, hang on to it, you never know man.

Variety is the spice of life!

I've toyed with selling my Blue Dawn Axis Sport from time to time, but I haven't gone through with it yet simply because I don't need to sell it. (Although if I were to get a decent offer for it out of the blue that would be a different story)

I recommend giving it some time, if you don't need the money right now. I've found that sometimes I sell off stuff too quickly after buying new gear and don't give myself enough time to really, really get a level feel for everything.

If you're not playing it, I'd say sell it. But then again, I've been known to give people a hard time ;)

Needed this laugh Beej:D

If you dont need the dough and have room in the closet keep it, some of my recent sales are due to no room in he closet:D

P.S. I store them in the cases in my music room closet can only hold so many:eek:

If you like your Silo and think its an awesome all around guitar, I'd say keep it. It may come in handy if you start playing different music again or whatever.

I think the majority by a longshot is in favor of you holding on to it. You stated already that you have a connection with it and there is going to come a day when you are going to need the tone that ax can deliver. So unless you find something you might not ever get the chance again to buy I would hold off.
