Should I Sell My Silo???

How many JP's do you own now? Are they all the same model or are they different (JP6, JP7, BFR, standard, KOA..) Unless you need the money to fund your JP habit , I'm inclined to say keep the Silo for the sake of having variety in your tone tool bag. Silo's aren't nearly as common as a JP6 (new or used) and it may be hard for you to find the ideal replacement (color combo, bridge type, maple/RW..) for your Silo if you were to sell it. Just a thought there.

Funny you should mention this. I bought my wife a Silo around this time last year. She never plays the thing, but I refuse to sell it. It's basically become *my* guitar now. It's not my favorite. And it doesn't get much play time. But it's good to have around. There are tones I can get from the Silo that I couldn't think of getting from a JP or 25th.

Now I think I might play it tonight...

Am I crazy for selling my Silo?

I don't think you are crazy, but i had sold my silo special 2 years ago and it feels bad and the grievance process is starting to hurt you several month after that, so i recommend you to keep it..

I am also new to the Silo, only had mine since xmas, now that I have it I would miss it, if I had lost it or sold. If you can afford to keep it, don't sell it.

Financial circumstances dictate our decision making sometimes, but the honest answer is, if you don't have to sell it, don't.

The silo is a monster of a guitar. Sleeping giant if you ask me.

No dude, you're not crazy. Don't listen to the rest of these guys. I think you should sell it right away. I'll even help you out. I'll give you $400 for it, and you can just ship it to me.(you pay shipping of course)

Seriously though, unless you need to sell it, I would hang onto it.

I'm with the majority here - keep it unless you have to sell it.

I will get in a groove of playing a certain guitar for awhile. Then I'll pick up one I haven't played in awhile and go "oh yeah, this is a great guitar, too." And, it usually does something the other guitar(s) doesn't, which is why I kept it in the first place.
