Hey Joe,

let me know if you ever decide to sell your DR :) I'm saving up for that amp now. But in general... GREAT stuff! I wish to play on that some day :)

I use following setup (I'll try to take a picture as soon as i can):

- ADA MP-1
- MESA 2:90 (custom)
- Rocktron Intellifex
+ Korg DTR-1000
+ Nady UHF-3

all ends on standard 4x12 cab with some Celestion speakers (I'm not so sure about the model, but they sound awesome)

I've never really taken the time to take a photo of my rig, but here's a decent shot of my rig from a gig in Lubeck, Germany this year.

hardtimemovement021nn4.jpg

It consists of:
Line6 PODxt Live
rackmount overdrive custom made for me according to my specifications that I use just to push the amp a little bit more when soloing
Laney GH50L head
TC Electronic G Major
Marshall 1960 4x12 cabinet with Celestion G12T-75s

and I'm usually using a Sennheiser e906 for miking my amp, but this was not a big gig, so there was absolutely no need to do that

Hmm, I need an updated picture of my whole rig, methinks.

You guys make me jealous! Good thing you're using Balls for tone.

Joe Web and larryandrews: Slick setups. That DD Luke matches the grass!

ADA is really great preamp, however I prefer knobs :) ADA sounds great, it's the most versatile preamp I've ever played on, but I want mesa DR 3 ch so badly at the moment!

Intellifex is also fine unit. In the matter of fact I'm considering changing it for g-major too :) what a coincidence!

I just wanted to tell one thing about my Mesa 2:90. It's actually 2:50-70. I was changed by my tube doctor - it was based on experience of circuits getting too hot after 1 hour of playing. So the answer was to lower the output so circuits will be colder and can work longer. If you ever played through MESA 2:90 you'd probably found out that at the beginning there is a lot of punch and attack. But after 1 hour the punch disappear. But it's fixed now. I tell you, my tube doc is fantastic. It's 3rd amp he made for me. First was a copy of Mark IIc, then hybrid between 5150 and DR and the latest one is MESA 2:90*. Now I want original Mesa DR and put it to my rig as a holy grail - I've always dreamed about getting Mesa DR one day (or Roadking :D)

best,
Mike

Here's my amp and cab. I'll have to update my pedalboard *after* Christmas, I've got a few goodies on the way... ;)

There are some very nice rigs out there among the forum members.

I'm just a hobby/play at home guy so here is my humble combo - for now, at least. I can see a Mesa Express 5:25 as a replacement for this; amp GAS is just as bad as guitar GAS!

What's that weird white think in the screen-saver of your computer!!
:p

What!?!?!?!? How did that get on there????!?!?!?!

Okay, I'm totally busted. Truth is, I love the PRS as much as my EBMMS. It is also an exceptionally well built and crafted guitar. It plays like a dream and sounds, very good. Now, if I could get it to sound like my 20th Silo........

Here is my shame ;) :

My Ampesetup changed completely the last few months since i received the fractal audio axe fx.
before that i had mostly engls (powerball and sovereign), koch (twintone) and marshall amps on stage.
now i use the AFX direct to FOH and two active monitors FRFR for me or as guitarcabsubstitute for smaller gigs.
this are the two dB Opera Modular 412
db412.jpg

and this is my bagrack with AFX, wireless and DI box

afx_di.jpg

to control the AFX i use the well known FCB1010 in stompboxmode.

I sold one engl and one koch recently cause the AFX nails it all.

thanks guys
