He's finally become a man?

I think it may be time for a bar mitzvah!

Actually, jokes, Jack is the biggest man here. Just look at his Bongo collection.

One thing I don't understand Jack, you've had more bongo's and stingrays than most bongoloids here, but according to the Bongo Poll it appears the only box you haven't ticked is piezo. Have you ever tried one of them?

Piezo pickup on a Bongo are like a Sauekrauts on a german sausage! :D

Oh, and I didn't check piezos on the poll because I don't currently have anything with piezos. I have had two Bongos with 'em, though, but I thought it was just for what we currently own.

Oh ok, now it makes sense. Did you like them?

Like adding lemon and salt to Tequila. hmmm piezo niiiiiiice!

I have the piezo option on both of my Bongos. I'm glad I have it on the fretless, but I could really go without it on my fretted. It was a little more useful when I put flats on my bass, but I thought it was a waste to have flats on such a monster bass. My main gig is a loud hard rock cover band and flats do not fit in.

CEIton where are you at in Cincy????

And "YES", yes you do want, desire, need a Bongo :D

Where are either of you located in the great tri-state?

The real "Sign of the Apocalypse" is I just found out that the singer in the band I'll be playing with soon owns a couple of MM basses. One of them being a Bongo. I have never even seen a Bongo in person much less played one. So I'll get to try one out next week. I'll be bringing my 92 sr but we will see how much it gets played.

Will report back..
