Wow.. got 2 comment.
How 'bout Black hardware on white guitar? :)

Seriously, in my country, many people will gladly buy a signature guitar of their hero. They don't even care to try the guitar first. They only buy Fender, Gibson and Ibanez signature guitar.

Seriously though folks....I don't think the OP is that accurate. Most companies appear to have long established users as signature models eg BB King, Les Paul, Jimmy Page & Slash at Gibson, Eric Clapton , James Burton & Jeff Beck at Fender, Roger McGuinn & Tom Petty at Rickenbacker, Hank Marvin at Burns.
Other models seem to come & go fairly quickly ( I daresay they sold very few Bonnie Raitt Strats, Albert Collins Teles or Justin Hawkins Les Pauls). There are also lower end models which I think are an excellent idea as they get younger people playing.....though I suppose the OP won't be buying an Avril Lavigne Squier Tele, maybe some young girls will.
Not sure about the Steven Seagal Signature acoustic I saw in this month's Guitarist mag mind you!.
Where EBMM differs is that all of its signature range are brand new instruments, designed with/by the artist in question, rather than a Strat or LP with a different signature on the headstock.
