Okay, I'm sure it's been discussed, but man, I just gotta share my love for the Silent Circuit. My battery was dead in my new-to-me Silo Spec. I wasn't sure if it was working. So, I just went ahead and replaced the battery. All of a sudden, goodbye hum. :D

Woohoo! Totally cool! :D

I don't use mine anymore, unless there's a ground loop or lighting problem. But I always carry a couple of 9v batteries just in case.

I don't mean to ask a stupid question, but what is a silent circuit?

It's a battery powered device in the MM guitars that have single coils. It's essentially a dummy coil that is used to cancel out hum so single coil and MM90s pickups are noise free. Works really well.
