Hi

Anybody here know the recommended number of hours on a battery in the silent circuit? How do you know when it's dying? Does hum increase? Are there other indications?

I do two 4-hour gigs every weekend, and during the week spend about another 4-5 hours plugged in...any tips on how often to change it?

Also, does anyone know how often the gunstock oil treatment is recommended on the maple necks?

Any tips/opinions?

Thank you!

Hey Steve,
I'd say that at your schedule of playing the 9V block should last about half a year at least. I found mine to be dying when I encountered a slight rise in noise on the OD channel when not playing and volume not rolled off. Was gone immediately when battery was exchanged. However, I think the silent circuitry can even be adjusted to your needs/taste by the little mini poti (if not sealed) but I think one rather should not really mess too much with that - at least when the guitar is stock - as they seem to be really nicely setup.
All the best
Axel
