I have 2 Luke guitars, and was thinking of putting some passive pickups in one of them, but I have humm from passive singlecoils, so I though of the silent circiut system. I tried a S/S/S Silhuette yesterday with the SC system, and it sounded great! No humm either.

So, can I buy just the Silent Circuit system to use with pickups of my own choice? Or is it exlusive to EBMM guitars?

There are other hum-eliminating systems out there that you can buy and add to any guitar. Notably, Suhr had recently released their BPSCC system that fits inside a backplate and is passive. It has its limitation, and I have no idea how effective it is. They claim it's not a dummy coil or anything.

Have you considered just getting a Silo Special with silent circuit instead ;-) ?

For hum cancelling, I like the Seymour Duncan Duckbuckers. Very nice. DiMarzio HS2's are also nice. They are stacked single coil sized humbuckers, and I've got mine set to tap, so I get humbuckery (is that a word?) single coile sound and traditional single coil sound (with reduced hum). Just my 2 cents.
