Silent Circuit Conversion?

I don't know if this has been discussed before but I 'd like to know if a silent circuit EBMM guitar, say as in a Silhouette Spec., can be modified to be used without the battery? I assume that is a battery compartment on the back of a Silo Spec.

Can the pickups be used without the silent circuit?

Any help appreciated.

I did find this old post by Greg in Customer Service

"The Silent Circuit does run off a 9 volt battery, but does not make the pickups active. If you remove the battery, the only difference you should notice would be a bit more noise from the pickups.

Does anyone have any confirmation that a Silo Spec works without the battery installed?

Yeah, it will still work without the battery, you'll just lose the noise cancelling in single only positions.

Just take the battery out.

Yeah it works fine without the battery. If you don't use the neck pickup, you would never notice the difference.
