Could it be the Silent Circuit is the culprit??

There is no Silent Circuit in the Silhouette - that's the Silhouette Special... It is interesting; I wonder if the coil-split leads on the PAF Pro in the bridge were grounded out somehow, effectively making the pickup a single coil... Who knows - maybe a previous owner wanted a 24 fret Strat and just wired the PAFs for one coil?

Yeah Jimi. That's what i was thinking also. I may be the switch that has a broken pole shorting out the full humbi.
