Glenn, I would suggest a black pearl guard on the gold one and white pearl on the pink. I think it would set it off quite nicely. As a matter of fact, I might do a black pearl on my Silo Special...that might work the best since its dark and has the cool pearl effect going too.

Rob, already got a Black Pearl PG for the Gold one, I've gotta mod it so the EMG H will fit. Soon hopefully. As for the Fuschia one, thanx, but I really like it with just the plain white.

Slav, that is a beautiful Silo and very rare. Buttercream is delicious. That's a treasure.

I had a chance to bid on one of those limited run Canadian Silo Specials (MIAC maybe?) that had a buttercream body, white PG, and a maple FB. Man, I wish I had. I didn't own a Silo Special then and wasn't sure how much I would like it. What a mistake! Looks like the one on this page...Grumpy's.

Mine is a natural reliced Silo Spec ;). It´s one of the first ones from 1995 and it´s my alltime favorite.

MB99ZZ, that is a great looking Silo Special. Too bad it's got a trem and matching head stock.

Jonny I'm with you man...I really really love the MM vintage trem, but I would love a recessed floyd on one for those Satch moments in my arsenal :D. The thing is I want a Silo Special with 22 frets and floyd...majority of the used ones are 24 fret Silos. And I really love those trans like trans teal and trans red.

Yea, I've seen those...that's why I said Japanese guys are lucky earlier in the thread hehe. Quite jealous of that Silo Special. Plus they got those amber Luke BFRs and envy green LUKEs in the past.

I like my backyard too. The best place to relax after a hard working day :D. Some years before these were farm buildings which belonged to the parents of my wife. But now they get retired and there´s no one to go on with the farm. So it was allowed to change the farm buildings into living buildings. Where we´re living now there before was cow´s home, haha.
The first SS came with a Wilkinson Trem and Glover tuners. So the owner before me changed it into original MM Schaller tuner and this hipshot trem. He liked to have a 2-point-trem instead of the 6-point wilkinson vsv. It works really good, that´s ok. No need for a change. The best thing on this SS is the neck, I think it´s a little bit thicker than the SS necks today. Oh yeah, and a lot of birdseyes on it :).
