nothing as they make each guard to order anyway, so it's no more difficult to enlarge the hole when they make it .

including postage it's about US$90 :(

im gassing for a silo now, i played one (same options as yours) at Ellaways (brisbane) today and was astonished at how comfy the neck was, felt much nicer than the 20th silo i played.. the necks felt completely different, not sure if they are suposed to be the same.... and it was so easy to play. like it was playing my hand rather than my hand playing it... even unplugged it sounded good, it sung!

Well, I've fitted the EMG's. I attacked the pickup hole with a fine file and opened it up, and removed the curved edges on the corners.

Fitting the kit was really easy, because it came with the pots/switch and wiring all pre-done ready to go. And thanks to the silhouette already having powered electronics, the guitar already has the output jack wired correctly and the battery compartment. So hooking the system up was as simple as soldering the 3 wires to the already existing wiring that goes to the output jack/battery (had to cut the connector off and just solder/heatshrink). Very very easy.

So.. how does it sound? Well, it's hard to tell at home - I don't really know until I get into a band situation to see how the sound fits with everything else.. but on first impressions they sound GREAT. Will post again when i've had a chance to really play!

:)
