Help! Silhouette special or cutlass ???!

In another thread I said how I had to sell a bunch of guitars to catch up on things and I’m pretty much caught up. However I have a silver sky and honestly not a fan. I was thinking either getting a cutlass again or a silhouette special. I’ve never played the Silo special but had two cutlass at one point. How different are the necks? How’s the thickness compare on the necks? I did find a silo I liked but I can’t play it first. Thanks for the help !!

The Silhouette Special neck is slightly thinner; mine measures 0.80" at the 1st fret vs 0.82" for the Cutlass and that difference continues up the neck. The Silhouette Special also has a C-shape profile the full length of the neck where the Cutlass has the soft V-shape profile from the nut to the 5th-7th frets. So the Silhouettes definitely feel a little thinner in the cowboy chord positions (I think it's slightly more comfortable) but from the 7th fret up they're almost identical, the Cutlass is just that little bit beefier.

The Silhouette Special also has a smaller body (and the slightly shorter vintage headstock). As a result, it overall feels a little more compact and sits on my body in a slightly different place when I'm sitting down; with the Cutlass I feel I need to reach out slightly to the 1st fret a little compared to my Silo Special.

Also, the Silhouette bridge humbucker is a brighter PAF tone with a slight mid range scoop. It's a great all-rounder and is particularly beautiful (I think) on clean tones. In comparison, the Cutlass bridge humbucker is in overwound PAF territory and so has a little more output and mids.

I love both guitars (I chose the Cutlass as my travel guitar this summer) but if I had to pick just one, it would be the Silhouette Special.

Both are great guitars, cant go wrong with either one , guess one factor should be finish as the Silo Special is either currently the Snowy Night or the Buttercream Ziv special
