Agree with Jack completely !

Your call - but to me 4 weeks is more than enough time for the seller to pull his finger out and start shipping the guitar to you.

Fingers crossed that he is trustworthy and just experiencing some problems and you do get your guitar (sounds like a great buy), but at this point I would be starting to put serious pressure on the guy.

As Jack says, inform ebay and file a Paypal dispute immediately. Sounds like you have given the seller plenty of chances to resolve this.

Hi Axilla,

I completely agree with Jack and Jim_F.

Although I can fully understand your longing for this special color: this whole thing seems pretty weird to me.

This guy seems to be selling necks and bodies by the dozen.
Everytime he offers a piece he also states that you can get other parts from him to 'complete' your purchase (Body + Neck = Guitar).

Besides the fact that I find this very odd not to sell the complete instrument but rather take it apart and selling it piece by piece:
Could it be possible that he does not have all the parts in stock momentarily and is waiting for them to arrive from god-knows-where so he can ship them to you?

This whole thing smells... try to get your money back and rather get yourself one of the few left Silo 20th!!!
;)

(BTW: I spotted another 20th Anniversary here in Germany that might still be on sale, I'll put it in your other thread!)

Thankya guertzi - I already had a quick look at that one ! NICE !

Thankyou everybody for your support here !
I will file the issue with Ebay and PayPal tonight and see what happens the next days. Thumbs up - perhaps it's gonna clear up.
If not - who knows if I'm not gonna set my sails for a 20th Ltd Silo...

OK, it's done.
I reported this case to Ebay and PayPal and filed a claim.

Wish me luck, fellows - I guess I could use some now... *sigh*

...just as a quick update for you:

I received an email just a few minutes ago. The vendor tells me he shipped the goods to me via Canada Post Express and names a tracking number. However he did not say WHEN exactly he shipped, but it must have been today only as the tracking system cannot find the package at the moment.
He says he had paid Can$ 153.00 for express shipping so that the package should normally arrive here in about 5 days... Let's see about that.
I'm just a bit surprised as we agreed on normal shipping for around US$ 80.00...

Let's wait and see - oh boy if only I get this guitar...

NEED IT SO BAAAAD !

good luck.

I was once ripped of on ebay buy a guy who sold a tele body as "rockinger" and I found out it was a "keiper". As a german ebayer you may know this brand:cool:

After some evil mails he confessed and paid back a good part of the money. looking in his profile, I could see he bought cheap gits and sold every little part separately.

So this part-dealing on ebay is to earn more money. But I can fully understand if you WANT to have this guitar :(

Hey banjo,
hell yeah, they even put a subfolder under electric guitars in the German Ebay named after this Keiper-pseudo-brand...
...as far as I see it's not even worth being considered as a brand, but rather just heaps of junk.
Now when I take a look into the American Ebay I don't even see and extra entry for EBMM which really gets me wondering...
Life as well as the web are not fair most of the time :)

Say, you're not by chance that "banjorama" seller on Germany Ebay, are you ?

All the best and have a good night

Axel

P.S.: ...I can't believe I just hijacked my own thread...

man, that sucks. I was going to buy that thing as well, but the timing was bad. I emailed him a couple of times. I love that guitar and I hope it works out for you.

What a strange coincidence...
right after you start filing this topic, he contacts you and tells you he JUST sent out the item.

We'll keep our fingers crossed for ya, only five days to go...
Hope all turns out well!

Have a nice weekend and best regards

DUDE!! i'm going through the same thing now!!

i bought a guitar from a guy in FLA 3 WEEKS AGO...that's when i paid him, no guitar, no email, no retuned calls!!!!

anyway, what i did is started a claim w/ pay pal and i called my credit card co....the card co. said try to resolve it through PP FIRST! w/ the PP claim if he doesnt respond in 10 days, then the way i understand it is that PP will try to retrieve the $$$ from him.

may be worth looking into...i called PP and they walked me through the process!

WEEEHAW folks !

I got tracking information from the seller 2 minutes after filing the complaint with PayPal. This MUST have been an overlapping, because he cannot have received the info from PayPal then already. I know now that a package was shipped to me and is currently lying around in some Canada Post sortation plant. Let's see what's in there :D
I'm really curious - I bought the stuff only having seen pics of the body and nothing else.
I'll give regular updates on the status and post the pics when the new babe arrives !

Koogie: Thank you so much! Let's hope everything will be ok now ;)

Thanks to all of you for your support !!!
