Multiple points - multiple answers :D

TMB:
No, not really - I guess all in all the costs will still run out at half the list price of a new one, effectively. That's including the Kinmans and I will keep the white pickguard with the original electronics for sentimental reasons (1 of 1 :D). Excluded is just a 3rd pickguard in black-ice with an DMZ AirZone + X as a swap option. Lotsa options = lotsa fun ;)

Dan:
Yes, dear sir - it well & truely deserves it. Just like about every single instrument from SLOville. Art shall be treated alike !

Ivan:
Yes, it is finally finished now ! :D
You can't imagine how that feels, especially considering I'm out of town and will only see it in the flesh tomorrow evening... :(

But hey - Mick did it again !
He now officially deserves the title of the "Official Savior of the lost Silhouettes' souls" as this is the second one he saved and restored for me !!!

...finallizing this story...

Hey folks,
the new babe is finally with me after Mick gave her A LOT of love and tenderness. Sadly the weather around here really sucks big time during the last days so there was no way of getting really good pics of it with the poor equipment of mine...

How here are finally some sneaks on the pearl lavender SSS Silo Special at my home. I cannot stress enough how much I adore that color - even more in the flesh than pics could ever show...

...as said - it's really ****ty weather here so no pics possible in plain sunlight, but what's b*tchin' me even more is that I could not get my hands on new metal chrome knobs and had to use the white plastic knobs instead - I hate them

I'll be starting a pearl lavender thread and I'm REALLY curious to see how many of you have an EBMM that color and what types they are !!!
Please participate with any photo material you have on that color !

THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT IN THE LONG STORY AND VOYAGE THIS GUITAR TOOK, ESPECIALLY TO MICK FOR THAT EXTRAORDINARY WORK ON THE NECK !!!

This forum is great, you all rule, I love to share the whole crazy EBMM experience with all of you!

Thanks for being around ! :D

Beautiful!

Some words about the sound or maybe soundsnippets?

Sadly the weather around here really sucks big time during the last days

I had a drive today from Ulm to the Tegernsee (Bavarian Outback) and it rained so heavy that I hardly couldn´t leave the car! :D

Hey Banjo!
Thanks - sadly I have no equipment around for recording. I should change that...
...considering a software solution...
Soundwise, well let me put it the way my tech did: "This thing delivers the type of sound a str@t player wishes his guitar would". Positions 2 & 4 are just out of this world.
The Silo Special is awesome in sound stock already, but the Kinmans add the last finishing touch. I'm blown away - even though I'm more of a humbucker lover (the harder music around).
EBMM guitars have somehow also altered my perception of sounds and - look at my signature - humbuckers tend to be the minority in my collection nowadays... :)

Thanks for the description.

I didn´t hear about the Kinmans until you came along with them. They would be definitve a choice if SC´s are needed someday. Very interesting!

Like you, I´m more into Humbuckers. But playing more traditional Rock-Sytle it makes sense in some situations in the band to play with a SC to keep the sound transparent and open. Plus SC´s sound sweet!! Only problem is the missing power :) I believe to have a good compromise with the Morse, but for very pure SC-sounds I still use my Rockinger Tele (she can do things, the Morse can´t - believe it or not :D )

But one day, when having some useless money, it will be a AL MM90, a AXIS MM90 or a Silo :)
