Hi folks,

I'm currently considering purchasing another Silhouette (Special) and am just curious about the pickup routings...
The Silo Special I'm considering to buy is a SSS (three single coil) version and I'm wondering if ever I would want to replace the bridge single coil pickup ... what does the routing look like in this guitar ?
Is there only space for sort of a single coil humbucker or could I replace the bridge single coil with a full size humbucker (and o.c. a new pickguard :D ) ?!?!?

Thank you sooo very much in advance, fella forumites :)

Shame you're not a lefty....I would gladly swap you my SSH pickguard and pickups for your SSS one!Mine's purple too. Actually, since it's all done with a clip in connector it would save a lot of re-wiring & soldering if we did a swap.....just cost us a new pickguard each. Let me know if you're interested.

Sounds cool to me !
I'll give you a note if I get that SSS one. The aspiring seller is not yet quite sure whether he should do it or not... AND I PERFECTLY UNDERSTAND although I'm really hot for his guitar...

Hi Axilla,
i also had a same question in my mind few weeks ago, because i want to buy a HSS pickguard for my SSS silo, so i ask bruce(candid x) and david(threeminutesboy) via PM about it, and david send me this picture that explain my question completely.. i hope this picture can help you too..

what a great supporting friends we have here aren't they? .. thx david.

btw, is it possible if we have two pick guard (loaded with all the pick ups and all the electronics and etc inside) , so we can just switch each other everytime we want? anybody has experience with this?
  • what are the things we need to buy , like the switch, the pot of the volume , the electronics etc?
  • are musicman's parts are available to order(potentiometer, switch, silent circuit, etc?
  • is there a tools that make us easy to connect the electronics on the pickguard with the body(so we don't have to soldering it everytime we want to switch the pick guard)?or the clip connector already solved all that problem?

my english is not clear :(:(.. but i don't know how to say it clearer :D :(

Hi Abraham,

was about to post that pics again but you were faster :D

As for the replacement pickguard loaded you can ask Tommyindelaware that offered to do that with the exact EBMM specs as EBMM stopped to provide those as regular spare parts
