i don't know if it's a common feature of the silo, but mine has a push-pull tone knob and i dont really understand what it does. it's definately not a humbacker-coil split switch and it slightly changes the tone but i can't put my finger on how exacly, also i've noticed that sometimes it reduces noises.
another interesting thing about my particular silo is that it is the only one i've seen with a separate 2-way switch for the coil split (in addition to a 5-way pickup selector) anyone know why is that?

Sometimes it may sound simple when stated but it can also be over looked.

Plug in to the amp, go to a clean setting and strum, then pull the tone pot and strum again.

Distortion can sometimes hide tone to well where as a clean signal can reveal it. Also try it push and pulling on every selection on the blade. If it is aftermarket maybe someone had it to work with the neck pickup only, etc....
