Has anyone tried the DiMarzio Mo' Joe & PAF Joe in their Silhouette? I'm interesting in a (for lack of a better word) hotter PAF tone and curious if anyone has experimented with this pickup combo in a Silhouette.
Thanks.

I don't know if this will be useful but anyway... I have a Mo Joe in the bridge position, not on a silhouette but on my telecaster. It's pretty well balanced, not harsh sounding or muddy. It's very responsive to harmonics and pick sounds (i really don't know how to explain what I mean about that.. sorry). Low gain or high gain, I like it, hot enough and versatile.

One of my favorite Dimarzio's is the Norton in the bridge. And, if I am not mistaken, it is slightly hotter than the PAF pro and close to the MoJoe. The pickup is great for a punchy, well balanced, agressive and very musical pickup.

The Dimarzio AT-1 is a great bridge pickup and is what Andy Timmons uses in his alder body guitar. For the neck pickup you can use the Dimarzio Transition (Luke's pickup) or the PAF Joe would also work. Good luck finding your sound.

Duh. If this is a Silhouette with 24 frets, I would stay away from the PAF Joe since it was designed for 22 frets. Either the PAF PRO would work in the neck, Air Norton works well with 24 frets or for a different sound one of the Petrucci Dimarzio neck pickups.

Ummm... Wasn't the stock Virtual PAF & the older stock PAF Pro designed for 24.75 scale length guitars with 22 frets???

I should have clarified that this is my opinion and experience. Pickups are like cars and everyone has different feelings and thoughts on what sounds good. Overall I hope the OP finds what he is looking for in sound and the silhouette is a great tool.
