Silo- 500K vs 250K/pickup change.

Hmm.. don't know. For my part, I put a SD Distortion at the bridge position on my Silo and left the 250 k pot in there. And it has enough highs. A 500 k pot would make it even brighter..

Not sure why you're rolling your eyes ... it's hard to give advice when nobody knows what you're looking for.

Do you want higher output pickups? If the stock ones don't have enough output for you then change 'em. But I find MM has done a great job with mating pickups to the guitars, so there's usually little reason to change 'em unless you really don't like the sound.

As for pots ... more resistance will brighten them up. Again, it depends if the sound doesn't work for you ... it's really personal choice.
