Hey guys, I don´t know what you think of Chris Rea, especially over there in the States where he may be not that present. Here in Europe he is mostly known for his earlier pop-/radio-suitable songs from the 80s like "Josephine" or "On the Beach". In his shows you often see older housewives who came because of his voice and are quite surprised by the fact that he is an excellet guitar/slide-player. I´m a very big fan of him and saw him 5 times so far.

His current tour started a few days ago. I´m really looking forward to see him on Feb 20nd in Stuttgart. In some youtube-vids I spotted EBMMs. The 2nd guitar player is - I guess - Anthony Drennan. I saw him back in 1991 with Chris before and we talked about him in some other threads. So I noticed a Silo (maybe Special?) and a AL HH.

Have fun by watching

(Tha bassplayer - Sylvain Marc - also played EBMM on earlier tours. Not now :( )

mmmh although there doesn´t seem to be that much interest ;) I wanna share some pics/a video from the Chris Rea Gig in Stuttgart this Monday. Rhythm-Guitarplayer was/is indeed Anthony Drennan. He played a Silo Special and a HH AL which both sounded fantastic through a setup of 2 Fender Blues Juniors (if I spotted it right - same amps as Chris Rea is playing too). Especially the AL was sensational

Hey guys, forgive me for warming up an old thread by myself. :D

Saw Chris Rea with Anto Drennan last night.

Anto had two wonderful new Balls: SSS AL in trans-blue(?) with a roasted maple neck and a MM90 Armada. Both looked and sounded fantastic!

I would highly recommend listen to CR and Anto if you have the chance (sadly just over here in Europe I guess)

Anto is a great player, he plays in Dublin regularly when he is not off touring with the stars, tough job, ;)
