..hello to all at this magnificent forum..

..writing to you from vienna, austria, i have a problem getting some accessories for my ebmm silhouette (ca.1994) here in europe..

..i need a replacement pickguard and cant find a guitar shop here in austria and germany and in the net providing a pearloid pickguard for a silo hss..

..can you help me/any information ?

..by the way..i am thinking of (maybe-not sure by now) replacing one of the singlecoils (preferably the neck) with a humbucker in sc-format..any experiences..?

..addendum to pickguard..

..hi again..

..one more question regarding the pickguard..

..having a closer look at my silo i realized that the pickups and the potis are readily fixed to the pickguard..

..now i have read that ebmm has -years ago- offered pickguards with alternate pickups so that you just had to change the pickguard to have pickups changed..

..experiences..?

..thanks again for any helpful reply..erik..

Erik,

give either your local EBMM distributor or EBMM customer service a call or e-mail. They do offer replacement pickguards for the silo, both loaded and unloaded.

I haven't personally switched out pickups (though I'm reading up on it). I think there have been a few people who have used stacked single coils or mini-buckers. The pickups should be held on there with screws. I don't think they're permanently bracketed into place.

You can use this page to help your search along. You will want international customer service.
