I two questions! No brainers for anyone that knows!

(1) What size strings does the Silo get shipped with? I'm guessing they're 9s.

(2) What height is the action on the Silo shipped with?
Reason for this question is that there's a dealer that has 2 Silos and I find
the action to be slightly high for an EBMM. All the Subs I've tried there are
really low. I am trying to figure out if they messed with the guitars at all!

Dude, chill, most answers can be found on the FAQ page. As far as strings for the Silo, 9's it is.
As far as action 1/16" it is. I too have found that most Sub's are set up better than other EBMM's, but that could be because they're painted necks protect them better or perhaps the other EBMM guitars get handled more and fiddled with...remember my Pet horror story.

Q: What is the string height off the neck supposed to be?
A: The approximate factory settings are 1/16" or 1.5875mm from the bottom of the string to the top of the 12th fret.

Players can adjust the action lower or higher to fit their playing style. Clockwise to raise the fretboard, counter clockwise to lower it.

Q: Which strings do you use at the factory to string up your guitars?
A: The Ernie Ball strings we use on all of our guitars is as follows:

Silhouette & Silhouette Special: RPS-9 Super Slinkys (9-42) catalog #2239

Axis: Super Slinky (9-42) catalog #2223

Axis SuperSport with DiMarzio humbuckers: RPS-9 Super Slinkys (9-42) catalog #2239

Axis SuperSport with MM-90 pickups: RPS-10 Regular Slinky (10-46) catalog #2240

Steve Morse: 10-13-16(all RPS)-26-32-42, available in singles only

Albert Lee: 10-13-16(all RPS)-26-36-46 available in singles only

Luke: RPS-9 Super Slinkys (9-42) catalog #2239

John Petrucci: RPS-10 Regular Slinkys (10-46) catalog #2240

Benji Madden: 12-16-24w-32-42-52

SUB-1 guitar: RPS-9 catalog #2239

Whatever the case may be you can always adjust the action of the guitar, I would check to make sure there are no dings, that the electronics sound fine(no scratchy hisses, etc), that the truss wheel is freely moveable and whether or not the neck is warped...anything else can be adjusted without any cause for worry

Aren't you considered norther Ontario???

I was up your way a few years ago. We did some white water rafting on the Ottawa River!
Other than going to Toronto or the Perry Sound area that usually as far north as I get.

Visiting Beej vs. Raz > at least a 10 to 1 ratio! :D

String height from the factory is 2/32 at the 12th fret from the top of the fret to the bottom of the string

Off topic here, well sort of. Jon, what is the factory string height on an Axis w/ Floyd? I'm curious to know if I'm still in the right ballpark.

Thanks Jon!
I know you're a busy guy, especially after this past weekend.
Now I must return to the dealer with my secret tape measure and see if they've messed with it!!!!

I don't imagine myself bringing a tape!
The action does feel high to me compared to other EBMMs that I've tried.
I would no doubt lower it just a tad.

Foggy, when I was trying my first EBMM ever (SUB 1) the action was quite high also. It doesn't have to be the store's fault, humidity changes or sth like could do that. Maybe those Silos were hanging on the wall for 6 months or so, who knows
